Patrick Hagarman 

Science Instructor, Golf and Basketball Coach

TA Specialty: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Robotics


Patrick graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2008 where he majored in Biological Sciences and minored in Jazz Performance. After undergrad, he worked at the Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania as a microbiologist. During his time doing research there, he also began coaching basketball and tutoring at his high school alma mater, The Hill School. That sparked an interest in teaching and coaching. After a couple years, he accepted a full time teaching position while continuing to coach basketball and football.

In 2015, Patrick made a major life change and moved to San Diego where he now teaches and coaches at the San Diego Jewish Academy. Through his years as a high school educator, Patrick has taught all levels of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Robotics. He also serves as the golf and robotics coach at the Jewish Academy.



Salwan Shathar

Engineering Bachelors 

TA Specialty: Math, Physics, Computer Science


Salwan is in his third undergrad year at University of California, San Diego, studying to get his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering. Whether it was inside or outside the classroom, Salwan always loved to help others. He tutored elementary and middle school students on his volunteering journey at the El Cajon Public Library and assisted in coaching his high school tennis team. As he has gotten adjusted to college life, Salwan is ready to continue his love of helping others learn and overcome obstacles.




Pamela Gallardo

Cuyamaca College

TA Specialty: Math


Pamela Gallardo is a first generation student and Electrical Engineering major. Pamela has been a student at Cuyamaca College since 2018 and is planning on transferring to SDSU next semester. Pamela is determined to work in the STEM field while being a role model for minorities. Pamela has always enjoyed tutoring and helping people in math.


Maryam Alodeesh

San Diego State University

TA Specialty: Math, Science


Maryam Alodeesh is majoring in Civil Engineering. She has been passionate about and excelled at math all the way through high school. Maryam took and excelled at several calculus classes in high school and has continued her strong technical preparation in college. She enjoys the challenge of helping younger students with topics she struggled with when she first learned them. She can tutor all levels starting from middle school through High School Calculus. Maryam loves working with students and helping them overcome challenging problems while improving their basic math comprehension skills. She makes sure that students understand how to solve the problems in their own way, prides herself on her patience and always takes time to understand each student’s specific needs. Maryam joined MySchoolTA in 2022, building on her experiences of helping younger students understand challenging concepts and overcome their fears of math and science. 


Warjeen Suleiman

UC San Diego

TA Specialty: Math


Warjeen Suleiman is a first generation student at UC San Diego. She is majoring in Cognitive Science and is very excited to be a part of MySchoolTA for the upcoming academic year. In her free time she plays field hockey for UCSD, loves to draw and paint, and is self-taught on the guitar and piano.
